![]() Introducing . . . Master of Gzhel ![]() Vasily Ivanovich comes from the village of Khovanshina, Penza District (b. 1930). In 1949 he graduated from the art school at the Dmitrov Porcelain Plant, having specialized in painting. Thereafter, he worked as a painter at the Kuzajevsky Porcelain Plant and since 1976 has been employed at the Gzhel Association. Vasily has participated in national and regional art exhibitions for which was awarded with the diploma of the Union of Artists and the bronze medal of the Exhibition of People's Economic Achievements. Today he holds the prestigious honorary title The Artist of the Highest Class. The author of the tea services, cheeseboards, chandeliers, sets for serving pelmeni (Russian national ravioli) and beverages etc., his works are presented in GRM, GIM, VMDPI, MO Gzhel, etc. ![]() |
